Anger over CP for denying the permission to Congress rally: Uttam

Hyderabad: The Congress leaders and workers staged a Satyagraha on Saturday at Gandhi Bhavan. The police denied Congress leaders permission to take out a rally to mark the party’s 135th formation day.

The Congress leaders had planned a rally from Gandhi Bhavan to Lower Tankbund Road, but the police denied permission. The Congress leaders decided to sit on a Satyagraha for 24 hours, after police denied the permission. The Government deployed a large number of police personnel near Gandhi Bhavan. The police not allowed the Congress workers not to leave the Gandhi Bhavan. Some groups of Congress workers came out raising slogans against the police, police taken some workers into custody.

The PCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, speaking after hoisting the flag slammed the TRS Government for denying the permission to hold the “Save India” rally while allowing a parade by the communal RSS three days ago. He strongly condemned the actions of Hyderabad CP Anjani Kumar not only denying them permission for the rally for also arresting thousands of Congress workers to prevent them from participating in Satyagraha at Gandhi Bhavan.

The Congress would not tolerate this insult and take up the issue with Governor Tamilisai, he said. He alleged that the Police Commissioner acted on the instructions of the Chief Minister and did not follow the Law. He called upon the people of the Nation to support the Congress fight against the BJP’s “Nefarious plan to divide the Nation on the lines of Religion’. Alleging that the ruling TRS also playing to the tune of BJP.  He gave the call of BJP “BJP Se Desh Ko Bachao, TRS Se Telangana Ko Bachao”.
