HC Imposed Imprisonment to Karimnagar CP

Hyderabad: Telangana High Court sentenced Karimnagar Police commissioner B. Kamal Hasan Reddy, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Tirupati and SHO Sashidhar Reddy on Friday. The court imposed both of the officers six months imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 2,000/- each, and imposed exemplary cost of Rs. 10,000/- against each of them for repeatedly raiding a resort in Karimnagar.

        The police arrested all those playing the card game of rummy a despite of restraining order from the court. The petitioner former Legislature V. Jagapathi Rao filed a contempt case in 2017 against these officers, who was raided his Pushpanjali Resort.
