KCR enhanced the retirement age 58 to 60 years to TSRTC employees
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandra Sekhar Rao announced several reliefs and welfare measures to the TSRTC employees. He had a cordial meeting with the employees of the 97 depots in the state on Sunday, followed by lunch at Pragathi Bhavan.
After the meeting with the employees, KCR addressing in a press conference said that he would act as a brand ambassador of TSRTC. He assured the employees, no one will be sacked from the employment, and they will provide full security to the job. And also he said no RTC routes will be privatized. The Chief Minister announced that the September salaries will be paid on Monday and the salaries for the strike period will be paid at one go later on. He also increased the retirement age of the employees from 58 to 60.
He also expressed hope that the RTC become a profit making institution in four months. He said that next year the Government will allocate Rs. 1, 000 crores in the budget for RTC. Every RTC employee will pay a bonus of Rs. One lakh, if they earn Rs. 1, 000 crores profit. He also promised to provide a job in a family and Rs.Two lakhs as exgratia to the RTC employees who lost their lives. He also said that he will constitute an employee’s welfare board instead of RTC Unions. There is no RTC Union elections upto two years, he said.
KCR appealed to the officials and the employees to take the pledge that they will work in coordination to protect the RTC. And also he requested TRS Ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs to travel by RTC atleast once in a month.
