No Need of Three Years Practice: Fresh Law Graduates Also Allowed for Jr. Judges: High Court

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court allowed fresh law graduates to apply for the post of Jr. Civil Judge (Direct Quota) on Tuesday. The High Court setting aside the pre-requisite that they must have three years of practice as advocates, a norm that was in vogue for the past two years.

            A division bench comprising chief justice R S Chohan and Justice A. Abhishek Reddy issued this order while dealing with a batch of petitions. While issuing order, the bench recalled the guidelines laid down by the Supreme Court to the High Court and the state governments to amend their rules to allow fresh law graduates.

        Those who are not have three years of practice to compete and entered judicial services.
