Tirupati: The TTD has decided to conduct a trial run with TTD employees and Tirumala locals on June 8^th to allow the pilgrims to offer prayers to the Lord Venkateshwara in Tirumala, after closing the temple since March 25^th, 2020.

The TTD following the AP Government’s consent to revive pilgrim worship at the Lord Venkateshwara temple, the TTD E.O Anil Kumar Singhal had returned to the Government on May 12^th, seeking permission to open the temple on a trial basis after lock down norms were eased. After centre gave its nod to open places of worship from June 8^th, the State Government also granted permission to TTD to resume operations. But the Government asked the TTD officials to first conduct a trail run with employees and locals while ensuring social distancing.
