Two students held for pro-Pak slogans in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The two students in Karnataka, the anti-CAA protests meeting at Bengaluru raising pro-Pakistan slogans stunned the organizers. The police filed a Suo-Moto case against Amulya Leona under sections 124A (Sedition), 153 A and B (Promoting enmity between different groups and imputations, assertions prejudicial to National Integration).

The local Magistrate denied bail to Amulya Leona and sent her to judicial custody for 14 days. On Friday another student Arudra carrying a placard which read “Liberation to J & K, Muslims, Adivasis and Dalits” in Kannada, at an anti-CAA protest near town hall in Bengaluru on Friday. The police took her into custody. It happened during a protest called by various Kannada organizations against CAA on Friday.

A college student Arudra, who is studying in Malleshwaram, was taking part in the protest when she suddenly displayed the placard. Due to her actions in the protest, the organizers stunned. The police detained her and took her to Sampangi Rama Nagar police station. The police said that Arudra is a facebook friend of Amulya Leona. But Arudra denied her connection with Amulya, said police. The police filed a case against Arudra under IPC sections 153 A 2 and 153 B, and she has been taken for medical tests.

Whatever country may be- long live for all the countries, Amulya posted it her Facebook last week. She had also written ‘Long live India! Long live Pakistan! Long live Bangladesh! Long live Srilanka! Long live Nepal! Long live Afghanistan! Long live China! Long live Bhutan!

In the video from a “Save the Constitution” protest organized in Bengaluru last evening, where Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi was present, Amulya is seen shouting “Pakistan Zindabad “. Asaduddin Owaisi, the chief of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), and two other men, rush to stop her; they try to take away the microphone from her.

The Bajrang Dal activists attacked on the house of Amulya and pelted stones at the house and smashed the wooden window frames. Amulya’s father Oswald Noronha (Vaji) said that he left his house before Bajrang Dal activists stormed his house with stones and sticks and started attacking the windows. He lodged a formal complaint to the police on the attack at around 2 pm on Friday.

The Karnataka Chief Minister Yediyurappa alleged that she is having links with the Naxals. She must be punished as per law. He also said that Amulya’s father also not supporting her in this regard.
