London: The Britain Government has honoured Prabhu Natarajan, hailing from Kerala in India with the UK Points of Light Award for his rendering services to the Covid – 19 patients by supplying 11K chocolates, treats and other food items to hundreds of families across the Banbury town.

He dedicated himself to supporting the community in response to the Covid – 19 pandemic. As per the UK PM Boris Johnson’s office sources, he also established a food bank collecting and delivering food parcels to the people in need, especially in a time as challenging as the Covid – 19 pandemic.

During the pandemic-induced lockdown in the UK, he and his son delivered food to hundreds of people in need while dressed superheroes, Santa Claus and, most recently, as the Easter bunny.

He moved to UK inn March 2020, along with his wife and son, just when the Covid – 19 pandemic was sweeping the world. He lost his father, 11 family members and nine best friends due to Covid – 19 in the last 22 days in India, he said.

He dedicated the award to the people he had lost due to Covid – 19. If you want to live a happy life, take care of people around you. A smile and an act of kindness wins everything, he added.

He thanked Prime Minister Boris Johnson and others who thought I deserve for this award. He also said that it’s not his effort only and he got immense support from his wife Shilpa Balachandran, my son Advaith Prabhu and the amazing people of the whole of Banbury.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, in a personal letter, addressed Natarajan that you have single handedly delivered over 11K treats to people across the town, which is a staggering achievement. You have delighted local children by doing your deliveries in a superhero costume, but the true hero is you. He thanked him for all he had done in the last year to bring moments of happiness to the families of his town.
