
Unemployment stipend Rs. 5, 000: Indira Canteens in Delhi: Congress manifesto assures
New Delhi: The Congress party promised to implement unemployment allowance of Rs. 5, 000 to 7, 500/- per month. The Congress party announced on Sunday in its election manifesto in New Delhi which the party will implement cash back schemes for water and power consumers and also challenge the contentious CAA in the Supreme Court.
The Delhi Congress party President Subash Chopra said that the party also committed to spend 25 % of the budget each year on fighting pollution and improvement transport facilities in New Delhi. The party also promised to the voters of Delhi, they provide free electricity upto 300 units per month. And also the Congress will open 100 Indira canteens in the city to give subsidized meals at Rs. 15/-. The party will provide unemployment allowance Rs. 5, 000 for Graduates and Rs. 7, 500 for PG’s every month under Yuva Swabhiman Yogana, said Chopra.
The announcements come in the back drop of promises and initiatives by its rivals AAP and BJP. The manifesto titled “Aisi Hogi Hamari Delhi” was released at the Delhi Congress office on Sunday in the presence of senior leaders Anand Sharma, Manifesto Committee Chairman Ajay Maken, Rajiv Gowda and Sharmista Mukharjee.
