Yediyurappa to induct 10 disqualified MLAs in his cabinet

Bengaluru: The Karnataka cabinet expansion will take place on February 6th, said B.S. Yediyurappa. Speaking to the reporters on Sunday said that the 13 MLAs who are elected in the bye elections who would take oath of office these 13 MLAs are disqualified when they are in Kumara Swamy’s Government in Karnataka.

They opposed the coalition Government of Kumara Swamy, they are elected from Congress. These 13 MLAs will take oath ceremony at 10.30 am at Raj Bhavan on February 6th. Yediyurappa received acceptance of the BJP Central leadership on January 31st for his cabinet’s expansion. There are 18 Ministers including the Chief Minister in the cabinet. The Government may induct the Ministers for 34, 16 berths are vacant now.

In his cabinet there would not be additional Deputy Chief Ministers, he said. In Yediyurappa’s cabinet there are 8 Lingaiths including the Chief Minister, 3 Vokkaligas, 3 from SC’s, 2 from OBCs and each one from ST’s and Brahmins.
