New Delhi: The former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani welcomed the Court verdict, saying the judgement vindicated his and his party’s commitment towards the Ram Janma Bhoomi movement.

He said these words the Court acquitted him of conspiracy charges in the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition case. LK Advani (92) a BJP veteran, who re- drafted BJP’s role in the political mainstream of the country by catapulting the party on the centre stage of India’s political canvas as the prime mover of the temple movement, also chanted “Jai Sri Ram” so on after the verdict, describing it as a “Moment of happiness for all of us”. “The judgement vindicates my personal and BJP’s belief and commitment towards the Ram Janma Bhoomi movement.

I also feel blessed that this judgement has come in the footsteps of another landmark verdict of the Supreme Court given in November 2019, which paved the way for my long cherished dream of seeing a grand Ram Mandir at Ayodhya”, he said in a statement. Recalling his associates who stood by him, Advani said.

“I am grateful to my party workers, leaders, saints and all those, who through their selfless involvement and sacrifices gave me strength and support during the Ayodhya movement”. Along with millions of my countrymen, I now look forward to the completion of the beautiful Sri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. May Sri Ram keep us blessed always, Advani said as he signed off with a ‘Jai Sri Ram’.
