Y.S. Jagan launched 1088 new ambulances: 108 and 104 ambulances

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched 1088 advanced life saving system technology modern ambulances by flagged off on Wednesday at 9.35 am at Benz Circle in Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. The AP CM launched 108 and 104 ambulances on the National Doctor’s Day. The government provided one 108 and one 104 ambulances to each mandal. AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to introduce a “Family Doctors Scheme”, which is working in United Kingdom’s.

The government directed the PHC doctors to visit the villages through these 104 ambulances. The government bi-furcated the villages to the PHC doctors, equally to look after the health conditions of the people. The newly launched ambulances were sent to the districts, from there to the respective mandals. Government officials, other public representatives attended the function.

AP CM launched 1088 ambulances on Wednesday with a cost Rs. 203 crores. The AP Government purchased 676 vehicles, for 104 services to the rural areas people with connecting PHC. And 412 new ambulances which provide 282 basic life support services to the people, the CM also launched 26 Neo Natal ambulances for the kids, each district two Natal ambulances were allotted.

The Andhra Pradesh Government brought the ambulances with the standards of WHO, with the proportionate ratio of population, one ambulance is for 74, 609 people. Earlier the average rate of the proportionate is 1, 19,545. The ambulances are made with an aim of to offer services to 12 lakh people for year. The Government provided 20 various diseases in 104 vehicles.

The ambulance services are available within 15 minutes in the urban areas, after calling the ambulance, in rural areas the time will take 20 minutes. All ambulances are linked with ambulance emergency response centre, to make the service as early as possible. The ambulance was equipped with a camera, one mobile data terminal, mobile phone and along with AVLT. In each 104 vehicle on Medical Officer, one data entry operator, driver, ANM and Asha Worker are available.
