Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy urged the people outside the Andhra Pradesh “not to come the home state” due to nationwide lock down. The Government is initiating steps for providing all necessities to those who are residing in the nearby states Telangana, Chennai and Karnataka, through negotiation with the Governments.

Speaking in a media conference on Thursday at his camp office, Tadepalli he said that to contain the Covid- 19 virus spreading, our Government implementing the lock down strictly in the state. We received nearly 200 students from Telangana on Wednesday night at border and sent them to quarantine for 14 days. He also urged every citizen in the state and who are living in other states will not try to go their homes, since the lock down inforce (i.e. April 14^th).

Your anxiety to go for homes is causing to spread the virus to your family members and to neighbours also. It is very difficult o contain the virus, if allowed all our state residents during the lock down period.

It is very painful to him, not allowing our people into the state due to Covid- 19. He also requested the villagers, not to go to other villages for any purpose to avoid the spreading of Covid- 19. The Government constituted a committee under the leadership of senior IAS Officer Krishna Babu and ten IAS Officers to monitor the issue and as well as Government also constituted District wise monitoring committees under the Chairmanship of District Collectors, the District Ministers also involved in the operations of Covid- 19.

The Government established four hospitals to Covid- 19 patients with 250 beds capacity each and also the Government makes arrangements for 200 isolated beds at District headquarters hospitals and 100 isolation beds at every Assembly constituency headquarters, he said. He praised the village volunteers, the staff of village secretariats, Asha workers, ANMs for their hard working contribution to identify the Covid- 19 patients in the villages.

The AP Government identified 27, 819 foreign returnees to the state and were sent for isolation camps. The Government also made elaborate arrangements for essential commodities and vegetables. The Government also relaxed the shopping time 6 am to 1 pm every day, he said. The Covid- 19 contained only by maintaining social distancing and self-discipline. This dangerous pandemic virus generates once in a century or more, he added.
