Yoga institutes, gyms will open on August 5th

New Delhi: Yoga institutes and gyms reopen from August 5, said Union Health Ministry. According to the fresh guidelines of Union Health Ministry’s, protocols to prevent the spread of infection in such places, the yoga institutes and gyms will remained closed in Covid-19 containment zones.

Those above the age of 65, people with co-morbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 have been advised not to use gyms or yoga institutes in closed spaces. The Ministry has specified that visitors in each place should maintain a distance of minimum 6 ft as far as feasible. Use of face cover/ masks is mandatory at all times within the premises.

During the yoga exercise and gym exercising as far as possible only a visor may be used. Use of mask (in particular N95 mask) during exercise may cause difficulty in breathing, said in guidelines. The guidelines also directed housekeeping staff to be informed and trained about norms for waste management and disposal. All employees who are at higher risk, like older employees and employees who have underlying medical conditions, should take extra precautions, it added.
