YS Jagan: AP Will Setup YSSAR Digital Libraries in Gram Panchayats: To Strengthen Work from Home Concept
Vijayawada: AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to setup digital libraries in every gram Panchayat by the end of March 2022. He reviewed on IT and YSSAR digital libraries with the officials and ministers on Tuesday in a high level meeting at Thadepalli. YS Jagan directed the officials to take up construction of 4,530 digital libraries at a first phase and also directed the officials to identify construction sites and acquired on August 15.
These digital libraries will provide access to the village youth to do work from home concept. This will benefit to the village youth, he said. He suggested that steps be taken to provide villages with good internet facilities.
It was clarified that YSSAR should set up digital libraries in every gram Panchayat and equip computers with high speed quality internet facility. This will be useful for students as well as the facility to work from there. In addition to the minimum facilities in digital library buildings, three desktops, UPS, desktop barcode printer, scanner, laser printer, software, anti-virus software, high quality unlimited CM Jagan directed to complete the construction of data centers for bandwidth internet and storage and make them available.
It is suggested to set up 3 desktop tables, system chairs, visitor chairs, tube lights, fans, iron racks, newspapers, magazines and digital libraries as part of the infrastructure. 4,530 in the first phase the government will spend over Rs 140 crore on minimum facilities in digital libraries and computer equipment.
