YS Jagan laid foundation stone to “Jagananna Colonies”

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday said that his Government is providing a shelter to the poor and homeless in the State.

His Government is going to provide 28 lakh houses to the homeless poor within two years; the Government has distributed nearly 30 lakh house sites to the women beneficiaries.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy laid foundation stone virtually on Wednesday from his camp at Tadepally to the Jagananna Colonies in the 175 Assembly constituencies in the State.

This laying foundation ceremony in the State celebrating one week from today onwards. Speaking on the occasion, YS Jagan said that his Government is constructing 17, 005 colonies with a 28K and above houses to the poor people in two phases in the State.

The first phase of housing construction launched today with  above 18K houses in the State, this houses will be completed in June – 2022. The second phase of construction of above 12K houses will launch in the year 2022 and it will be completed in June 2023.

The construction of the house is admeasuring with 324 sq fts comprising with one kitchen, hall, bathroom, lavatory and veranda. The house will be provided with facilities like water, electricity, drainage and other amenities.

The Government will incur the expenditure on each house Rs. 1.8 lakh for construction and 1.4 lakh for providing amenities likes roads, underground electricity system, underground drainage system and water tanks etc,.
