
YS Jagan laid foundation stones virtually to 14 Teaching Medical colleges
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the Government providing more health facilities in the Government hospitals to poor people in the State.
AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy laid foundation stones to 14 Teaching Medical colleges with an estimated cost of Rs. 8, 000 crores on Monday through virtually from his camp office at Tadepally.
Speaking on the occasion YS Jagan said that the new Teaching Medical colleges are constructing in Piduguralla, Machilipatnam, Vijayanagaram, Anakapally, Rajamundry, Amalapuram, Palakollu, Eluru, Bapatla, Markapuram, Madanapalle, Penukonda, Nandyala and Adoni.
He also said the Government is establishing 16 nursing colleges, where the Teaching Medical colleges were taken for construction. These nursing colleges are affiliating to the new Teaching Medical colleges. These medical colleges are coming in the purview of a Parliament Constituency.
New Teaching Medical colleges at Paderu and Pulivendula construction work is in progress. The Government fixed a target to complete construction on new Teaching Medical colleges by the end of December 2023, he said.
The Government decided to establish a 500 bedded hospitals attaching to the newly constructing Teaching Medical colleges with modern equipments and facilities. The Government took modernization of the existing hospitals in the name of Nadu – Nedu scheme and also we are taking steps to accord the accreditation of NABH, he said.
The Government also initiating steps to invite the private participation in Medical & Health field, those who are investing Rs. 100 crores to built a private hospital at District Headquarters and the Municipal corporations. The Government providing facilities like five acres of land of free of cost to the private hospitals, he said.
The Government taking steps to strengthen the PHC’s in each Mandal with two doctors in each PHC’s along with staff, the Government establishing YSR Village Clinics in each village.
The Government initiating steps to provide five Multi – speciality hospitals with a cost of Rs. 246 crores in the tribal areas. Those who incurred more than Rs One Thousand for medical purpose will include in the Aarogya Sri Scheme, said YS Jagan. The Government also brought 2436 diseases in the purview of Aarogya Sri Scheme.
The Government included the treatment of Covid – 19 and Black Fungus in Aarogya Sri Scheme. The Government paid Rs. 5215 crores through the Aarogya Sri Trust within two years. The Government also provided 1180 ambulances for 108 and 104.
The Government decided to pay compensation of Rs. Five lakhs those who lost their lives as frontline workers due to Covid – 19, if the Central Government compensation scheme is not attracts. The Government enhanced the pension Rs. 10K instead of Rs. 3K those who suffering from chronic diseases, said Jagan.
