MS Dhoni Announced Retirement from Cricket “Consider me as Retired”

Chennai: Former Team India Captain MS Dhoni announced his retirement on Saturday evening at his Instagram saying “Thanks a lot for your love and support throughout, from 1929 hours consider me as retired”.

Over the 16 years that he lored over the International cricket stage, fan had come to expect the unexpected from Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Even so, he managed to serve up a bolt from the blue. After completing his first practice session with Chennai Super Kings team mates following a five month hiatus from cricket, Dhoni bowed out with a typically cryptic message on Instagram.

Though Dhoni did not specified whether his announcement was only regarding International Cricket, CSK sources indicated that both he and Raina would continued playing for the Franchise atleast till IPL-2021 edition. Dhoni’s exit marks the end of an era for Indian cricket.

His numbers are straggering, but they don’t begin to capture the impact of the Super Star from Ranchi whos canny capacity, Ice cool Demeanour and Unorthodox brilliance paved the wave from some of Indian cricket’s, most memorable moments.
