“Maha” Governor Asked Siva Sena Willingness to Form a Government

Mumbai:  Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari invited Siva Sena, the Second single largest party in Maharashtra assembly to form a government, after BJP expressed its willing to not form a government in the state, though it’s a first single largest party with 105 seats.

     The BJLP leader Devender Fadnavis informed the governor on Sunday evening, after the meeting of BJP core committee, BJP will not willing to form a government with not having the magic figure to form a government. After the decision of the BJP, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari asked the Siva Sena, if you are having the number to form a government to express their consent on Monday at 07:30pm.

     The governor’s office sent a letter to Siva Sena Legislative party leader Eknath Shinde. Sena will have to inform the governor about its stand by Monday at 07:30pm, said Raj Bhavan Sources. The Siva Sena won 56 seats in the Maharashtra assembly out of 288, the NCP won 54 and the Congress won 44. There is a plan of Siva Sena to form the government with the support of NCP and Congress and also having talks with that two parties. NCP chief Sharad Pawar indirectly gave his nod to Siva Sena, to held talks with the party to form a government. If the Siva Sena and NCP may join in the government, Congress may extend its support outside of the government. These three parties having strength of 154 out of 288, which is crossed the magic figure of 145 to form a government in the assembly.
