Hyderabad: TRS Working President KT Rama Rao called his party cadre to stage protests throughout the State in Mandal and District headquarters on Wednesday against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments on Telangana in Rajya Sabha.

KTR in his tweet condemned the Prime Minister’s comments in Parliament and demanded that Modi’s apology to people of Telangana. Utterly disgraceful of you Mr Prime Minister repeatedly insulting the decades of spirited struggle & sacrifices of the people of Telangana.

KRT asked the party workers to set afire effigies of the BJP in all Mandal headquarters and Assembly constituencies and organise protests with black flags. Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed the Congress in Rajya Sabha, over the manner in which it bi-furcated Andhra Pradesh in 2014. His comments evoked strong reaction from both TRS and Congress, which alleged that he insulted Telangana and sought an apology.
