YS Jagan Mohan Reddy resigned as CM of AP

Vijayawada: AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy submitted resignation letter to Governor for the post of Chief Minister on Tuesday evening. YSRCP lost the election in the State by winning only 11 seats in the Assembly.

One seat result was yet to declare. The opposition alliance led by TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu won 164 seats out of 175 seats. The TDP won 134, JSP 21 and BJP won 8 seats. The TDP alliance won 21 MP seats and the YSRCP won only 4 seats.

Out of 21 MP seats TDP won 16, BJP 3 and JSP 2 seats. YSRCP bagged Kadapa, Rajampeta, Tirupati and Araku Valley MP seats.
