
Tollywood veteran character artist Kota Srinivasa Rao (83) passes away
Hyderabad: The Tollywood veteran character artist Kota Srinivasa Rao (83) passes away on Sunday early morning at his residence. He played many roles as villan, comedian and elderly man nearly 750 movies.
He acted in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada movies. He entered in the film industry in 1978 in the movie “Pranam Kharidu”. Later he took gap for five years and played a villan role “Prathighatana” directed by T. Krishna. This block buster movie in 1983 made him as a cine actor. Before Parthighatana in 1983 he acted in Jandyala’s movie Amarajeevi.
He was born on July 10th in 1942 at Kankipadu in Krishna district. He worked as employee in SBI at Hyderabad before entering into the film industry. He survived with his wife and one son and two grandsons. His son died in a road accident in 2010. His final rites will held at Mahaprasthanam at 3 pm on Sunday.
