Vijayawada: Former Chief Minister of AP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his satisfaction on inauguration of five medical colleges on Sept. 15^th, 2023 as a Chief Minister. He inaugurated personally at Vizianagaram medical college and remaining four through virtually.

YS Jagan on Monday in his twitter x account said that this is the very big achievement in the public health sector in Andhra Pradesh by establishing five medical colleges during in his tenure in the State. He got permissions for 17 medical colleges, apart from five medical colleges at Vizianagaram, Elur, Rajamundry, Machilipatnam and Nandyal medical colleges are inaugurated and started colleges on Sept. 15^th, 2023. In each college 150 students are studying.

The remaining 12 medical colleges five medical colleges will start in 2024 and the remaining seven medical colleges will be started in the upcoming years. Pulivendula and Paderu medical colleges are in progress and ready to start the colleges in 2024. The constructions work is in progress in the remaining ten medical colleges, he said.

He opposed the TDP Government’s move to privatize the remaining ten medical colleges in PPP mode. He warned that he will start a agitation movement with all political parties and NGO association etc.
