Eight people killed and several injured in a massive explosion in a Sri Ganapati Grand Fireworks factory at Rayavaram

Kakinada: Eight people killed and several injured in a massive explosion in a Sri Ganapati Grand Fireworks factory at Rayavaram in Kakinada district on Wednesday. Six people died on the spot and two were died while undergoing treatment and two other severely injured were undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The firecracker factory owner also died in the incident and this firecracker factory running since 30 years in Rayavaram in Kakinada district. This fire incident occurred when the workers are loading gunpowder into fire-ball machine. The fire spread inside the factory within seconds by spreading fire on sulphur, coal and other fire work material.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed this incident is a very painful and profound grief and condolences to the bereaved family members. YSRCP Chief YS Jagan also expressed his solidarity and profound grief and condolences to the bereaved family members. He urged the Government to help the bereaved family members generously and offer best treatment to the injured persons. He also wished the speedy recovery of the injured persons.
