Hyderabad: AP SEC announced unanimous victory in local body elections in 17 Municipalities by rejecting opposition and independent candidates nominations.

. Though filed correct nominations by the opposition and the independent candidates, the Returning Officers rejected their nominations rudely at the time scrutiny in all 17 Municipalities.

The SEC declared 16 Municipalities and one Nagar Panchayat Chairpersons were elected unanimously. The Election Returning Officers played a key role in announcing the unanimous elected persons in the Municipalities. The TDP coalition party goons and police abducted the main rival YSRCP candidates not to file their nominations within the time. At the same time the TDP goons snatched and torn the nomination forms from the hands of the YSRCP candidates.

Though some candidates filed their nominations under the hurdles, abductions, threaten and attacks from TDP coalition goons and police. But the Returning Officers gave acknowledgement to the candidates, that their nominations were valid in the prescribed format. Astonishingly, the Returning Officers rejected all the YSRCP candidates’ nominations in the scrutiny, though they certified their nominations are correct at the time of filing nominations and gave acknowledgement also. The Returning Officers also rejected the independent candidate’s nominations.

The candidates are questioning how correct nominations were rejected at the time of scrutiny of nomination papers. The appellate authorities also not came at their risk. The Returning Officers not justified a single candidate who contested in the elections. How it is possible the Returning Officers rejected all opposition and independent candidates’ nominations.
