BJP Central Election Committee announced its 1st list of 52 candidates for Telangana general elections – 2023

Hyderabad: The BJP Central Election Committee announced its 1st list of 52 candidates for Telangana general elections – 2023, including Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh, revoking his suspension.

The BJP suspended him in August 2022 for his controversial remarks against Prophet Mohammed. He was the only BJP candidate to be elected MLA from Telangana in 2018.  BJP in a press note said that the central disciplinary committee of the BJP revoked the suspension of T Raja Singh MLA Goshamahal from the BJP after due consideration of his explanation in response to the show cause notice served by the party.

The party had issued a show cause notice to RajaSingh, asking him to submit a written reply by September 2, 2022. He was arrested in August and released from jail in November, following a High Court order.

The former State BJP Chief Bandi Sanjay is contesting from Karimnagar, former Minister, BJP Election Campaign Chairman Etela Rajender is contesting from his native constituency Huzurabad and he is taking Chief Minister KCR at Gajwel constituency. Nizamabad MP Aravind is contesting from Korutla.

The prominent leaders State BJP Chief and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Actress Vijayshanthi, Konda Vishveswar Reddy, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, DK Aruna names are not included in the 1st list. G. Kishan Reddy is seeking the assembly seat from Amberpet constituency, Rajagopal Reddy from L.B Nagar, DK Aruna from Gadwal and Vijayshanthi from Sangareddy.
