Vijayawada: Former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his solidarity to the Karedu farmers and he will fight against the land pooling. Karedu farmers met YS Jagan in YSRCP Central office at Tadepally on Tuesday and hand over the memorandum to him. YSRCP MLC and YSRCP Coordinator of the constituency met YS Jagan along with the farmers.

He will fight with the Government on behalf of them to stop the land pooling acquisition of wet lands. The Government issued notification to acquire the land of 8,000 acres in Karedu Village of Ulavapadu mandal in erstwhile Prakasham district.

The Government taking steps to acquire the land to setup Indosol company at Karedu Village. The farmers are agitating on the Government’s decision the lands are very fertile and yielding three crops every year. So, they never give land of a cent to anybody.

If the Government wants to acquire the land forcibly they will ready to die by committing suicide. YS Jagan while interacting with the farmers said that he acquired lands for Indosol company in Chevuru and Ravuru village in Gudlur Mandal.

The company also paid nearly 500 crores to the farmers for land acquisition, he said.
