New Delhi: Election Commission of India will issue fourth phase election notification for 96 parliament seats and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.

In the fourth phase, apart from AP and Telangana, elections will also take place in another seven States and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The general elections across the country are scheduled to be held in seven phases, with the AP and Telangana States participating in the fourth phase.

The nominations will be accepted from April 18^th to April 25^th. On April 26^th, the scrutiny of nominations will take place, followed by the withdrawal of nominations until April 29^th. Subsequently, polling for both the assembly and Lok Sabha elections in AP and for the Lok Sabha in Telangana will be held on May 13^th. Once all the phases are completed, the counting of votes for the general elections will be conducted on June 4^th.

In the fourth phase, the States participating include AP (25 seats), Telangana (17 seats), Maharashtra (11 seats), Bihar (5 seats), Madhya Pradesh (8 seats), Uttar Pradesh (13 seats), Odisha (5 seats), West Bengal (8 seats), Jharkhand (3 seats), and Jammu and Kashmir (1 seat).
