Vijayawada: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, along with his party MLAs, MLCs staged a protest in the Assembly on Tuesday at the Governor’s address at a joint session.

YS Jagan party’s MLAs and MLCs gave slogans, “Save Democracy”, stop the arsons, attacks by the TDP activists on the public and YSRCP leaders and sympathizers. The slogans were continued upto the end of the Governor Abdul Nazeer’s speech in the Assembly.

The Governor continued his budget speech amidst the slogans by the YSRCP MLAs and MLCs. After the conclusion of the Governor’s speech the members of the YSRCP reached the Speaker’s Podium by showing the pla-cards on the violent incidents, arsons and attacks. They continued slogans save democracy at the Speaker’s Podium.

Later they walked-out from the house. Earlier, in the morning YS Jagan along with party MLAs and MLCs reached by walk to the Assembly by wearing black upper garments in protest against the attacks and violence incidents by TDP activists in the State. YS Jagan expressed anger on the police who stopped them outside the Assembly and torn the pla-cards from the MLAs who are staging protest.

He also warned the police officer Gopal Rao, who gave you the power to stop the MLAs and MLCs who are going to the Assembly and torn the pla-cards. You serve the people better and save the democracy. The symbol of the three lions on your hat is saying to save the democracy, not to salute to your ruling bosses. Then the police were silent, YS Jagan and his party members enter into the Assembly.
