Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar saved the lives of 174 passengers and crew members in Flydubai flight – FZ1073 during a mid-air catastrophe
New Delhi: Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar saved the lives of 174 passengers and crew members from a potential mid-air catastrophe after the pilot was allegedly attacked during a flight.
The Flydubai flight – FZ1073 was travelling from Dubai to Israel with 174 passengers on Wednesday. The co-pilot belongs to Yemen national suddenly attack on Captain Smit Machchhar in mid-air and tried to crash the flight. The co-pilot downed the flight nearly 17, 000 feets which in travelling in the air and tried to crash the flight. The Captain Smit Machchhar darely faced the attacker and opened the cockpit door and called the passengers about the attack.
The Captain Smit Machchhar gave emergency alarm in the mid-air to land the emergency flight landing nearby airports. The passengers entered into the cockpit and caught the co-pilot and brought the flight journey normal and landed Saudi Arabia airport.
Then the wounded Captain Smit Machchhar admitted in a hospital for treatment and shifted him to Abu Dhabi for better treatment. He got first aid in the flight from a doctor passenger.
