JD (U) Chief Nitish Kumar took oath as new Chief Minister of Bihar for the record ninth time

Patna: JD (U) Chief Nitish Kumar took oath as new Chief Minister of Bihar at the record for nine times on Sunday. The Bihar Governor Rajendra Arlekar administered the oath with Nitish Kumar and eight other cabinet ministers at Raj Bhavan at 4 pm on Sunday.

JD (U) Chief Nitish Kumar submitted his resignation as Chief Minister of Mahaghatbandan Government on Sunday morning and he formed new Government with NDA alliance i.e., BJP and Hindustan Awam Morcha. JD (U) has 34 MLAs, BJP 78 MLAs, HAM 4 MLAs total all together 127 MLAs.

The magic figure to form a Government is 122 in the 243 seated Assembly. 3 MLAs from JD (U) and BJP, 2 from HAM and 1 independent MLAs sworn-in as Minister in the new cabinet.
