Ahmedabad: Only one passenger survived in the fierce plane crash in Ahmedabad on Thursday afternoon out of 242 passengers. Air India confirmed that 241 people died in the plane crash and only one survived.

The survivor is Vishwash Kumar Ramesh (40), a British-Indian who was returning to the UK after a visit. Reports said he had taken the flight along with his brother, whom he is trying to find.

According to the Ahmedabad police sources that they have found one person who survived the crash. In a cellphone video that is being circulated online, the passenger, who was on seat 11A, was seen walking around his white tee shirt and dark trousers barely smudged.

The video shows the man walking with a limp, indicating a leg injury. His clothes bear blood stains and smudges of soot. One survivor has been found in the hospital and is under treatment. Cannot say anything about the number of deaths yet, the death toll may increase as the flight crashed in a residential area, he added.
