Hyderabad: The newly elected CLP leader A. Revanth Reddy will take oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana on Thursday at 1.04 pm at L.B. Stadium.

The Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan will administer the oath with Revanth Reddy as Chief Minister of Telangana and also few Ministers will take oath. After taking the oath, Revanth Reddy will go to Secretariat and assume his office at 3 pm as the Chief Minister of Telangana. He will likely sign on free guarantees file at L.B. Stadium at the time oath taking ceremony.

The Congress Parliamentary party leader Sonia Gandhi, MP Rahul Gandhi, AICC Chief Mallikarjun Kharge, AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, party observer DK Shiva Kumar, Karnataka CM Siddha Ramaiah and other Congress party CMs and the I.N.D.I.A alliance leaders will attend the swear-in ceremony.

L.B. Stadium decked with full arrangements is made for the oath ceremony of Chief Minister. Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari, DGP Ravi Gupta held a meeting with senior officials on the arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony and also visited the venue on Wednesday. About one lakh people are expected to attend the event.

Revanth Reddy in an open letter invited the people of Telangana to come and participate the oath ceremony at L.B. Stadium. The Congress Government is “People’s Government”. He will bring the Indiramma Rajyam in the State that will provide a democratic and transparent governance.

CPI General Secretary D Raja would attend the function as per the invitation of Revanth Reddy, CPI MLA-elect Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao said. CPI is a pre-poll ally of Congress for the recent assembly elections. State DGP Ravi Gupta said suitable arrangements have been made for traffic and others so that there is minimum inconvenience to the public.

Some VVIPs attending the event would land at the Rajiv Gandhi International airport on city outskirts, while others would arrive at Begumpet airport and arrangements would be made for their security, he said.
