Hyderabad: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy will launch woman free travel in bus service at 1.30 pm on Saturday at Assembly premises. This is a gift for woman under the scheme of Maha Laxmi on the occasion of Sonia Gandhi’s birthday.

The woman may travel free in Palle Velugu and Express buses throughout the State. In GHMC limits woman will travel in ordinary and express bus services. The girls, woman and trans-genders will be allowed to travel as a part of free travel in buses.

The district buses will carry the free service upto the State border. The woman belongs to Telangana State will only eligible to utilize the free services in the Inter State buses upto the State borders by showing Aadhaar or ID cards.

The TSRTC, MD Sajjanar said that the woman will travel freely in the buses from today 1.30 pm onwards by showing Aadhaar or ID cards. The woman occupancy in buses is 45%. The RTC will incur a loss of 2500 crores this will reimburse the Government to RTC. The TSRTC will issue Maha Laxmi travel cards to the woman and trans-genders within a short period.

Until that the conductor will issue a zero ticket to the woman passenger who will travel in the buses freely.
