Nalgonda: Nalgonda police registered a case against the controversial film maker Ram Gopal Verma and producer Karuna Natti on the proposed film “Murder”.

According to the police sources, the case filed based on the Court directions and the case registered under Sections 153A, 505 (2) and r/w Section 34 of the IPC as well as relevant sections under the SC/ST POA amendment act 2015. The police said the case is under the investigation and if we needed will summon both Ram Gopal Verma and Karuna Natti for questioning.

The film director Ram Gopal Verma had announced on June 22^nd that he would be making a film on the murder case and shared a picture of a smiling father-daughter duo, who looked early similar to Amrutha and father Maruthi Rao, the prime accused in Pranay’s killing, who later took his own life in March 2020. Pranay’s father Bala Swamy objected the making of film and approached the Nalgonda District Court to register a case against the film makers “Murder”, which is caused to damage their family’s dignity.
