Nagpur: The Nagpur police arrested actor Vijay Raj in Gondia district on Monday on charges of molesting a colleague in the under production film Sherni. He was known for his “Kauwa Biryani scene in the movie “Run”.

The molestation is alleged to have occurred in a hotel lobby on the set. Raj was released on bail later in the day. He has been booked under sections 354 A and 354 D of the IPC, for which imprisonment is upto three years. According to the sources, the film Sherni starring Vidya Balan had resume shooting at Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh after the pandemic break. The cast and crew of the film were staying at a hotel in Gondia, which is around 40 Kms from the shooting location.
