Andhra Government decided to impose fine Rs 100 for not wearing masks and violating Covid – 19 norm

Vijayawada: The AP Government took a decision to take tough action against violators of Covid – 19 norms. AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday reviewed the Covid – 19 situations in the State with the officials at his camp office in Tadepalli.

In this review meeting the Government decided to impose a fine Rs 100/- for the persons who are not wearing the masks in public. The Government decided to impose night curfew only from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. in all districts. All the commercial establishments have been asked to down shutters by 9 p.m.

YS Jagan made it clear that wearing masks is mandatory and if any shops were found with people not wearing masks, huge fines will be imposed on the shops and if necessary those shops will be closed for 2-3 days. A special Whatsapp number has been prepared to impose fines based on photo evidence. Those who are caught on camera violating Covid norms will be fined.

The Government decided to impose section 144 strictly and nobody is allowed to crowd markets and other places of congregation. Market Committees have been instructed to ensure their staff and people visiting markets wear masks.
