Angadi First Union Minister Passed Away Due to Covid-19

New Delhi: Union Minister of state for railways Suresh Angadi (65), passed away around at 08:00pm at the AIIMS trauma center on Wednesday, due to Covid-19. Suresh Angadi is BJP MP from Karnataka, Belagavi constituency. He is the first central minister to die of Covid-19.

He was admitted to the hospital after testing positive for Covid-19. Initially, his condition was stable. It deteriorated suddenly on Monday evening and we couldn’t save him despite, our best efforts, said AIIMS doctors. He was the fourth term MP from Belagavi.

Angadi had announced on September 11th on twitter that he had contracted the Covid-19 and had requested all those who came in close contact with him, over the last few days to monitor their health and get tested in case of any symptoms.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his condolences in a message in twitter; His demise is saddening my thoughts are with his family and friends in this sad hour. Om Shanti, Modi tweeted. He was an exceptional Karya Karta, who worked hard to make the party strong in Karnataka, and he was a dedicated MP and effective minister, admired across the spectrum.
