AP CM YS Jagan grants Rs 10 lakhs exgratia to the bereaved family members: B. Tech student Ramya stabbed to murder

Guntur: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy granted Rs 10 lakhs exgratia to the parents of B. Tech student Ramya murdered by her boyfriend on Sunday. Chief Minister directed the authorities to take appropriate steps to support the victim’s family.

An engineering student was brutally killed in Guntur. The young man stabbed the young woman to death while everyone was watching in broad daylight and then fled on a bike from there.

According to the eyewitnesses, Nallapu Venkat Rao and Jyothi from Kakani Road, Paramayakunta in Guntur city have two daughters, Mounika and Ramya (20).While Mounika is studying third year Pharmacy at St. Mary’s Group educational institutions near Chebrole, while Ramya is studying Engineering (B. Tech) third year at the same institute. Venkat Rao and Jyothi were farming in Kollur zone Chilumur a year ago. Mounika and Ramya are staying with their grandmother Pushpali at their residence in Paramayakunta.

AP Home Minister M Sucharita visited the dead body of Ramya at GGH Hospital in Guntur and she consoled the bereaved parents and promised that the Government will severely punish the culprit as early as possible. She thinks that the culprit is fit for the punishment is only hanging to death.

The AP Woman Commission Chairperson Vasireddy Padma also visited the bereaved at GGH Hospital and assured that they try to get justice to the bereaved family.
