AP Government will distribute pensions through village and ward secretariats employees

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Government will distribute pensions through village and ward secretariats employees from today onwards. The Government made alternative arrangements through village and ward secretariats to distribute the pensions to the senior citizens, divyangas, widows, single women from Wednesday onwards.

The CEC stopped the distributing of pensions through volunteers to the door step of the beneficiaries, on the complaint of the TDP led opposition motivated volunteer organization led by Nimmagadda Ramesh. The State Government orders the village and ward secretariat employees to disburse the pensions of senior citizens, divyangas at their door steps. Remaining pensioners will receive pensions from village and ward secretariats.

The process of disbursing pensions will complete by 6th April. A PIL was filed in AP High Court to allow the volunteers to resume their duties and distribute the pensions. Volunteers in many districts resigned their jobs in protest of the opposition allegations made on them and stopped their duties from EC.
