AP Govt. Suspended Former AP IB Chief Venkateshwar Rao

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh government suspended the former Intelligence Chief AB Venkateshwar Rao on the allegations of irregularities in purchasing Intelligence safety equipments.

He also violated the rules of protocol and Intelligence protocol, said the government in the suspension order. The government also alleged that he also leaked the information about the National Security to other countries. On the proven evidences of the investigation in this issue, the government suspended the former Intelligence chief and also instructed that he want leave Vijayawada without prior permission of the government.

As Intelligence chief in the TDP government, he is known as the very close associate of the former Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu.
