Lok Sabha fourth phase elections witnessed over 62% voter turnout across 96 constituencies

New Delhi: Lok Sabha fourth phase elections witnessed over 62% voter turnout across 96 constituencies in 10 States and Union Territories till 5pm on Monday.

West Bengal recorded the highest polling with 75.66%voter turnout followed by Madhya Pradesh at 68.01%. Jammu and Kashmir and Maharashtra were the laggards with 35.75% and 52.49% polling, respectively.

In Andhra Pradesh witnessed 68.04% polling, Bihar 54.14%, Jharkhand 63.14%, Odisha 62%, Telangana 61.16%, and Uttar Pradesh 56.35%.

In Andhra Pradesh 175 Assembly segments and 25 Lok Sabha segments held polling in 4th phase elections. AP CM and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy contested from Pulivendula, TDP Chief Chandrababu from Kuppam and among others are in the Assembly poll race.

APPCC Chief YS Sharmila is contesting from Kadapa Lok Sabha seat and BJP State Chief Purandeswari from Rajamahendravaram, among others is in the Lok Sabha elections.

The YSRCP is contesting in all 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha segments in the State. NDA alliance, TDP contested in 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha constituencies, while the BJP will contest from six Lok Sabha and 10 Assembly seats. The JSPwill contest two Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats.
