AP imposed day time curfew from 12 pm to 5 am from May 5th

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Government has extended six more hours of curfew time in the day from Wednesday onwards, due to the Covid -19 cases in the past few weeks. The AP Government already implementing the night curfew from 6 pm to 5 am since one week, now from Wednesday onwards AP Government imposed curfew from 12 pm to 5 am, for a period 15 days from May 5th.

Andhra Pradesh Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken a decision on extending the curfew hours in the State, after reviewing the Covid – 19 situations with Ministers and Officials in a high – level meeting on Monday.

The AP Government relaxed the curfew in the State from 6 am to 12 pm every day. But, at the same time section 144 also imposed in State to stop gathering of five or more people at a place. People and shops are allowed to business from 6 am to 12 pm.  In the afternoon, people would be allowed to come out only for emergency services, which are exempted from curfew.

The AP Government took the decision in view of the sharp spike in new Covid – 19 infections in the second wave and more particularly in the past couple of days. The state reported 23,929 new infections and 84 deaths on Sunday, the highest till now.
