Buses, shops, offices will open from Tuesday onwards: KCR

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandra Sekhar Rao opened the door for resumption of business and administrative activities on Monday. Speaking to the media persons on Monday he said that the Government relaxed the lock down guidelines across many sectors but in city all shops will be opened as per odd- even rule.

The CM said that all 33 districts in Telangana including GHMC are now in green zones, which are in Hyderabad will however continue to have red zone like restrictions. The move comes following a decision of the centre empowering the states to draw up the list of zones.

KCR announced that all shops can reopen to resume business activity and all Government and private offices and institutions can function normally while adhering Covid- 19 guidelines. These relaxations will be implemented following the odd- even system in Hyderabad.

CM said that over 90% of active cases are in Greater Hyderabad, the Municipal Commissioner would soon decide on containment zones based on the number of positive cases. 452 families in containment areas would continue to be in red zone with police protection, he said. Supply of essentials would continue at their door steps. CM also said the TSRTC buses will resume from 6 am on Tuesday. Metro and inter-state buses will remain shut. RTC buses will be allowed to Jubilee bus station and not allowed to MGBS. The buses will have to reach destinations before 7 pm except in special cases.

Taxis will be allowed to operate with driver and three passengers, autos would ply with 1+2 configuration, said CM. All private vehicles and stage carriers will also be allowed. Hair salons and e- commerce will be allowed in all the districts including Hyderabad, said CM. Government cannot stop opening up of economic activity and night curfew would be enforced from 7 pm to 7 am as per centres guidelines.

All Government offices and private offices except in containment zones can function with 100% work force. Industries can also run with full man power. The CM said that curbs on opening bars, clubs, educational institutions, religious places, congregations, function halls, shopping malls, cinema theatres, gyms and parks would continue lock down till May 31st.

All shopkeepers, establishments, offices and industries have to provide hand sanitizers and take preventive measures such as physical distance, he said. If anybody found not wearing masks will be imposed Rs. 1K penalty.
