Covid- 19 cases crossed one lakh in India

New Delhi: The Covid- 19 +ve cases in India tally crossed one lakh mark on Monday. According to the sources India infection cases reached the tally of one lakh after the 109 days after the first +ve case registered.

Nearly 4, 713 fresh cases were reported from across the country, the third highest in a single day so far. According to the states Maharashtra reported 2033 cases on Monday. As many as 24 states / UTs reported new cases during the day. The number of people recovering from the infection of Covid- 19 is steadily rising. So far 38, 908 persons recovered upto Monday, with the recovery rate at 38.8% with the fatalities of 3, 103 from the virus. India’s death rate is relatively low at 3.1%.

The number of cases still rising in the country in the fourth phase of lock down, it indicating that the infection was perhaps yet to peak. On Monday apart from Maharashtra 2, 033 new cases, the cases remained high in Tamil Nadu (536), Gujarat (366), Delhi (299), Madhya Pradesh (254), Uttar Pradesh (177) and Bihar (103). Rajasthan and Karnataka registered the new cases 305 and 99 cases, West Bengal (148) and J & K (106).
