Hyderabad: CBI sleuths raided on the residence of SCR Chief Engineer Suresh and arrested him on Wednesday evening and seized Rs Five lakhs cash and other documents. Railway Court remanded him.

A 15-member team of CBI caught SCR C.E Suresh while accepting Rs 5 lakh bribe from a contractor at his residence located at Concrete Palazzo in Nacharam. According to sources, contractor approached Suresh seeking permission for construction of a railway over bridges on a track in between Uppal and Jammikunta. The SCR CE informed contractor through his assistant that contract can be awarded to him if he is ready to pay Rs 5 lakh as bribe. The contractor lodged a complaint with the CBI.
