New Delhi: Covid- 19 new cases recorded a high of 4K for the first time in a day in the country. The Covid- 19 pandemic touched another high in Maharashtra, which added 1943 cases on Sunday, including 665 from the last few days.

The Covid- 19 cases tally shows a rise of 6.9% in a day, that 4, 308 cases were added to India’s Covid- 19 count on Sunday. The Maharashtra’s major share with Mumbai accounting for 875, the Covid- 19 continue to surge in Tamil Nadu with 609, Gujarat with 398 and Delhi 381. The Eastern states of West Bengal 153, Odisha 83 and Bihar 85 reported their highest jump, mainly due returning migrants.

The Covid- 19 deaths registered 113 on Sunday; highest single day death toll in Maharashtra is 53. The death toll in the country stands at 2201 as per reports from state Governments. The number of recovered people from the disease has risen to 20, 848, which is 31% of all cases, the highest proportion so far.
