Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Government is confined to provide more priority to women and their safety and the AP women will stand first in the county, said AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He participated in a program understanding of the newly brought Disha App for the women safety at Gollapudi rural mandal in Vijayawada on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he explained about Disha App how it will rescue the women who are in dangerous situation. He requested all the women who are having a smart phone must install Disha App for their safety.

He described how Disha App will save the women. If the woman is in danger she press the button SOS, the police receive information and come to the rescue of the woman within three to five minutes to the spot.

If she is unable to Disha App to press the button SOS, she can shake the mobile three times or more, the Disha App will alert the police and they come to rescue of the woman, he said. This App treated as the brother of woman.

AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the village volunteers and police personnels to motivate the women to install Disha App in their mobiles. He also instructed the volunteers to make awareness in the rural women on the Disha App and its installation. In Gollapudi mandal there are 2, 800 houses there, 1500 houses installed this App, said village head.
