New Delhi: Google Europe imposed censor on YouTube channels affiliated with pro-Kremlin Russian media sources like RT and Sputnik across Europe. Google Europe it is going to censor these YouTube channels in response to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.

Following that, the income earned by these channels will cease and viewers will no longer be able to watch them. Google, which owns YouTube, stated in a tweet on March 1^st that the change would be effective immediately; however it will take some time for their systems to completely intensify.

Google’s action comes only hours before EU members are set to approve sanctions recommended by the European Commission, the bloc’s executive, barring them access to the European media market regardless of distribution route.
