New Delhi: The India’s Covid-19 cases spike is very near to cross 12 Lakh mark. The spike of Covid- 19 count in India stands at 11, 92, 915 on Wednesday, with a spike of 37, 724 new cases. According to the Union Health Ministry sources, the toll has gone upto 28, 732 with 648 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Maharashtra remains the worst affected state as it reported 10, 576 new Covid- 19 cases, 280 deaths, 5, 552 discharged cases on Wednesday. The total number of +ve cases in the state rose to 3, 37, 607 cases including 1, 87, 769 recovered and 12, 556 deaths, said Maharashtra Government.

Tamil Nadu, the second worst hit state reported 5, 849 new Covid- 19 cases and 74 deaths on Wednesday. The total number of cases stands at 1, 86, 492 including 51, 765 active cases, 1, 31, 583 discharges and 2, 700 deaths, said State Health Department.

Earlier, a special committee was formed in Tamil Nadu to check the details of deaths in the state from March to till date. The national capital Delhi recorded a total of 1, 227 Covid- 19 cases, which includes 1532 recovered cases, discharged and migrated cases and 29 deaths on Wednesday, as per the Delhi Government sources. With this the total count for Covid – 19 cases has gone upto 1, 26, 323 in Delhi including recovered discharged and migrated 1, 07, 650 and deaths reported 3, 719 so far as per the Government sources.

Uttar Pradesh Principal Health Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad’s sources said 2, 308 new Covid- 19 cases reported on Wednesday, taking active cases to 20, 825 in the last 24 hours. Besides, as many as 916 Covid – 19 cases, six deaths, 620 recoveries and 542 patients were discharged in Rajasthan, said the Health Department. The total number of +ve cases in the state stands at 32, 334 including 583 deaths, 23, 364 recovered and discharged 22, 470.

In Andhra Pradesh reported its biggest single day spike of 6, 045 Covid- 19 cases on Wednesday, taking the cumulative case load to 64, 713. The death toll increased 823 with 65 more people succumbing to the virus, which also the highest single day toll in the state so far. Telangana Covid- 19 case load is inching towards the 50K mark, with nine more deaths and 1, 554 new cases recorded on Wednesday.

While the total number of cases stands at 49, 259 the total has gone up to 438. The Telangana crossed the three lakh mark with 15, 882 samples checked during the day, raising the total number of samples analyzed at 3, 08, 959.
