Birmingham: Indian Weightlifter Achinta Sheuli clinched Gold medal in the Men’s 73 Kg division at the CWG-2022 creating a new games record by lifting a total of 313 kg at the NEC Hall number-1 in Birmingham.

He lifted 143kg in snatch and 170kg in clean and jerk to top the field. Malaysia’s Erry Hidayat Muhammad clinched Silver with a total of 303kg, while Canada’s S. Darsigny clinched Bronze with a total of 298kg. India won six medals in CWG-2022, three Gold medals.
